Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope you’re enjoying this Team Up series as much as I am. I am fortunate to have met some amazing contacts through my work, whether it be through shared connections or just by chance. I want to encourage anyone in their ventures that there is a circle of support waiting for them! Today’s spotlight is on Gabe Hart, one of my “chance” friends.
Hi friends! My name is Gabe Hart, and I’m the Co-founder / CEO of Origin – our company partners with SLPs in Northern Virginia to help them grow thriving private practices.
Believe it or not, our story started with a cold email. I cold-emailed Vanessa about Origin in October of 2024 – I wasn’t sure if I’d even get a response, but she wrote back right away with a series of thoughtful questions. Looking back, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Vanessa was ready for the next chapter in her practice, and it was clear from the start that she was deeply committed to building something lasting for herself and the families she serves.
What impressed me most from the beginning was Vanessa’s commitment and entrepreneurial spirit. She wasn’t just dabbling in private practice – she was determined to build Peek-a-Boo Speech into what she envisioned it to be. She’s willing to try new things, adapt quickly, and find ways to overcome obstacles, and that resilience is what made me so excited to partner with her.

Since October 2024, we’ve been working closely together, and more recently, Vanessa has joined Origin as an advisor. Along the way, our partnership has grown into a real friendship. She’s the kind of person who brings energy and encouragement into every conversation, and has a way of lifting up everyone around her. Beyond her own practice, she’s also quick to pay it forward – she’s supported other SLPs in the Origin community and shared the lessons she’s learned to help them succeed.
We share a deep belief that private practice is the best way to deliver high-quality care, and it’s been a joy to team up in pursuit of that vision. I’m grateful to call Vanessa both a partner and a friend, and I can’t wait to see all that she continues to build with Peek-A-Boo Speech.
