Our Service Offerings
Peek-a-Boo Speech provides the following services in the greater Alexandria City area for children up to 5 years of age:
Meet and Greet
Book Now to ask questions, share your concerns and to help Peek-a-Boo Speech determine if an evaluation is recommended. The Meet and Greet is a conversation between parent and clinician and your child is not required to be present.
In-home direct assessment and treatment sessions
Assessments are 60 minutes with an additional 60 minutes for report writing.
Treatment sessions are offered for 45 minutes using a parent coaching model.
Telepractice
A flexible option for families! de Nocker, Y. L., & Toolan, C. K. (2023), conducted a systematic review of effectiveness of telepractice versus in-home services for autistic children and found no clinical significance with parent satisfaction scores for telepractice versus in-person services.

Language and Literacy Classes
Peek-a-Boo Speech is partnering with Little Hands to offer a preschool group class that emphasizes language, pre-literacy, social and executive functioning skills in play-based 45 minute classes for children ages 3.5 to 5 years of age. Children will engage with a variety of materials (books, toys, sensory bins, art) and a play-based character and parent handout will be provided to extend learning to the home environment. This curriculum was developed by evidence-based literature and resources and in particular I’d like to acknowledge the influence of Little Hands Infant and Toddler playgroup, Tiny Talkers Group Curriculum, and Sounds in Motion curriculum.
Language and Literacy classes will be held at ChildSpace Learning Center in Del Ray, Virginia starting September 25th, 2024. Visit ChildSpace Learning Center to register for classes. Come and join us on Thursday September 19th for a FREE event of play, music, language and literacy from 4:00pm-5:30pm at ChildSpace Learning Center!
Little Hands Music Classes
In addition, Little Hands Music programs bring you and your child together in a magical time of play, song and movement! Be part of an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control and communication skills. Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming and object identification foster language skills. Creative movement to various musical moods develops a sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness. Listening and turn-taking encourage blossoming social skills. Come join the fun and learning for all! If you are interested in classes visit the little hands website for more information! Classes in Old Town start the week of September 16th, 2024.
